Mailing list and Mailchimp
You can join our mailing list through our website.
The information you enter into the sign-up form is passed to Mailchimp through a secure connection. This may include your name and email address.
We use Mailchimp to:

record whether emails have been delivered
measure email opens and link clicks
We use this information to understand which updates are useful to our readers.

Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop messages that are needed for a ticket order or booking.
We do not sell our mailing list. We do not give it to other organisations for their own marketing.
Ticket sales and Ticket Tailor
We use Ticket Tailor to manage online ticket sales.
The Ticket Tailor booking tool is embedded into our website. When you use it, Ticket Tailor may collect:
your name
your email address
your telephone number, where requested
ticket and order details
answers to booking questions
access information you choose to provide
technical information about your device
payment and transaction details
Ensemble ’84 is responsible for deciding how ticket buyer information is used. Ticket Tailor processes the information needed to run the ticketing service.
Payment information may also be processed by the payment provider shown during checkout.
Buying a ticket does not automatically add you to our mailing list. You must choose to join it separately.
Ticket Tailor and the payment provider have their own privacy notices.
Access needs and health information
Information about a disability, health need or access need may be classed as sensitive personal information.
We will only ask for this information when it is needed to help you take part or attend safely.

Our website is built and hosted through Squarespace.
Squarespace processes some technical information so that the website can work safely and correctly.

We do not sell your personal information.
Information stored outside the UK
Some of our service providers are based outside the UK. This includes some services provided by Squarespace, Google and Mailchimp.
This means your information may be stored or processed in another country, including the United States.
Where information is sent outside the UK, we will make sure that a lawful safeguard is in place. This may include:

the UK–US data bridge, where it applies

How long we keep information
We only keep personal information for as long as it is needed.
The length of time will depend on why we collected it.
As a guide:
mailing list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it
we may keep a basic record of an unsubscribe request so that we do not contact you again
ticket and financial records may be kept for up to six years where needed for tax, accounting or legal reasons
general enquiries may be kept for up to two years after the enquiry is closed
access information is normally removed after the event and any follow-up work is complete
project and programme records are kept in line with our funding, safeguarding and legal duties
website analytics information is kept in line with the settings used in each service
We regularly review the information we hold. We delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable steps to keep personal information safe.

limiting access to people who need the information
using trusted service providers
keeping systems and software up to date
securely deleting information when it is no longer needed
training staff and volunteers who handle personal information
No online service can be completely secure. We will act quickly if we become aware of a data breach.
Children and young people
Some of our work involves children and young people.
When we collect information from a child or young person through a project or programme, we will provide suitable information about how their data will be used.
We will seek consent from a parent or carer where it is needed.
A parent or carer should normally make online ticket bookings or mailing list requests for a child under 13.
